Tom Lee asked:
To succeed with any project, you must have tons of traffic. Paying for traffic may be the best way to go, many successful marketers think so. Set up correctly, you will receive instant traffic. No waiting weeks for the search engines to index your pages. The down side, you need to pay for every click.
Even those visitors who hit their Back button within seconds of seeing your site still cost you the full price of that click.
And for most PPC marketers, that means TONS of wasted cash.
It’s really not surprising that so many new marketers “lose their shirt” on PPC campaigns and that even PPC veterans still waste most of their budget on worthless clicks. Most new and veteran marketers, pour Bucket Loads Of Cash Down The Drain On Completely Worthless Clicks! It does not need to be that way. Do a little research, look for Software that Will Optimize Your Keyword Lists, Eliminating Loss-Makers And Calculating Optimum Keyword Bid Prices Automatically.
Reduce Losses Even More By Boosting Quality Score When advertising with search engines. Your “quality score” determines how much you pay for clicks. In simple terms, if your quality score is lower than someone else’s, you’ll pay more than them for the same keyword.
There are several factors in determining quality score - but the biggest factor is the number of times your ads get shown without getting clicked on. This is not surprising really, since every time this happens, the search engine loses money.
YOU need traffic in a highly Competitive market. You are going to pay one way or the other. You need to secure the best ROI possible, You can do that with PPC marketing. You just need to be careful.

robdc2002 asked: Is there a tool or technique to research what keywords a company is bidding on for pay per click (PPC) marketing, aka CPC marketing aka search engine marketing (SEM)? I am trying to research where - and on what terms - a company is using their online advertising dollars and any tips or suggestions would be great.
Thank you.

The Maverick Marketeer asked:
How to increase your affiliate web site marketing income
Whether you are interested in creating a stable primary source of income online or just looking to supplement your existing income through marketing affiliate programsincreasing your earning potential will be a constant concern. After all, the goal of any business venture is ultimately to maximize profits.
As an affiliate marketer there are two ways in which you can increase your affiliate web site marketing income. This is simply based upon the method in which affiliate programs work. Regardless of the type or program (i.e. pay per sale, pay per lead, etc.), all affiliate programs are all performance based commission opportunities. When you refer customers to your affiliate companys website and the customer completes a certain action like filling out a form or making a sale, you receive a commission.
Therefore, to increase your commissions you really only have two options. Increase the number of customers you refer to your affiliate companys sales site or increase the number of customers who complete the desired action once they arrive there. This second aspect of the affiliate commission equation is also known as your conversion rate or CR.
Increasing the number of customers you refer is of the two options available, the one which you undoubtedly have the most direct control over. The reason being is that the number of referrals you make is directly tied to the success of your own affiliate web site marketing efforts. Whether you market through banner ads, pay-per-click marketing, or what have you, once the customer arrives at the destination site the rest of the process is largely out of your hands.
Realistically, your CR will tend to vary anywhere from 1% to about 10% on the high end. But, how can you manage your all important CR? I say all important for a very important reason. Increasing referral traffic is of course one of you main objectives as an affiliate web site marketing professional, however which would you rather have? Would you rather have 500 referrals with a 1% conversion rate or 100 referrals with a 10% conversion rate? As you can see here, generating 5 times the referral traffic earns youlets see; half the commission?
A fundamental difference between generating referral traffic and managing CR is this. Traffic generation and affiliate promotion will always cost you, either in time or money. Managing CR however, doesnt cost any additional time or money. Your CR will directly reflect several important things.
How you reach your prospects
What you say to your prospects once you reach them
How you refer you prospects to your merchant site
To effectively manage your conversion rates pay close attention each phase of your referral process to make sure you do the best possible job preparing customers to have an open-mind once they arrive at your merchant site. Pre-selling your prospects will make all the difference in increasing you CR.
In summary, youll want to focus on two goals to greatly increase you affiliate web site marketing income. Your first goal will be to maximize the amount of targeted traffic to your affiliate merchants by only spending time and money that produce maximum profit for you. Your second goal is to maximize your conversion rates by making the proper adjustments within your referral process to produce the best possible results.

Chris Peterson asked:
Pay per click marketing is one of the most common methods of advertising when dealing with the main Search Engines. Pay Per Click can be among one of the most cost-efficient ways of driving targeted traffic through online marketing.
Let us take a quick look at how Pay Per Click works for you the advertiser.
These search engines produce listings associated with certain keywords and rate them based upon a bid quantity that the advertiser is willing to pay for each visitor that clicks on their ad from that search engine. Advertisers bid versus one another to get higher rankings on that page of the search engines results for a particular keyword or phrase.
The advertiser who is the highest bidder for a certain keyword or keyword phrase will then get their ad ranked as number 1 spot in the Search Enginesresults, followed along by the 2nd and 3rd highest bidder. The advertiser that is the lowest bidder will find their ad in a position that will not experience as many click throughs, as the higher positioned ads will. Your ads will than appear prominently on the results pages based on the monetary amount bid that you will agree to pay per click.
How can you earn money by employing Pay Per Click into your affiliate marketing business? How do the two go hand in hand?
Almost all affiliate programs pay once a sale is generated or a targeted lead is captured after a visitor has clicked through your site and signed up for further information. Your earnings from day to day will not always be the exact same, as they are completely dependent upon your internet websites content and the search engines demand for that specific keyword or phrase on that particular day. But using pay per click marketing will draw instant targeted traffic to your affiliate site and should be used with all other forms of advertising that you are using.
The reason why you will want to integrate pay per click advertising into your affiliate marketing arsenal is, that profits are easier to bring in than in any other form of advertising you can use. In this manner, you will be making income solely based by the click throughs that your visitors will make on your affiliate website. As opposed to a few programs, that you are not receiving commissions per sale generated.
Pay per click marketing will boost your sales quickly if done right . By generating a large amount of targeted traffic from these Search Engines, you will find that your business is set up to run on auto pilot, as you are generating sales and leads even while you are sleeping. You will also find that you will get some sales even from visitors, who were not really interested in your offer until they read you affiliate sales page.
You will not just receive commissions from people who are just searching the web and seeing the products and services that they desired, but you will be able to establish your websites recognition as a name brand in your visitors eyes. The visitors who have discovered what they were looking for from your site are more than likely to come back and purchase any new products or services that you are offering in the future.
Pay Per Click marketing is not only an advertising source for yielding easy profits, it can also help you learn how to promote multiple affiliate websites to increase your daily earnings in commissions.
What will you encounter when you sign up to use Pay per click for your affiliate advertising?
The major search engines that offer pay per click advertising will usually give you ready-to-use keyword tools that can be easily used to find the most profitable keywords for your campaigns. Some other forms of advertising that some of the major search engines will offer you, are banner ads and video ads.
Testing and research are the most important things when beginning your pay per click campaigns. Pay per click advertising when done properly can create a never ending stream of targeted visitors and increase your sales in hours of implementing it.

Gary Fumeaux asked:
Pay Per Click programs are pretty straightforward systems. They allow you to grab a position in ads that you place on search engines by deciding how much you’re willing to pay per visitor. Pay per click marketing is by far the best direct marketing strategy invented. By really jumping into Pay Per Click marketing, your internet marketing dreams could be far closer than you would ever imagine.
With pay per click you dont need to worry about fixing up your keywords, or double and triple checking each link. All you have to do is figure out how much each click is worth to you and then buy that ranking on the search engine. This means that you only pay for people who will actually click on your ad to visit your site. The great stuff doesnt end here, though, the best part is that it is incredibly inexpensive to test the value of a market by running a quick, small campaign.
The basics of pay per click marketing:
1. Create the ad:
Put in your title, the headline, the keywords and the description as you would want them to appear in the search results. Develop the ad so that it really catches the eye, allowing you to bring far mor visitors to the site.
2. Get your keywords right:
This is really important, really think hard about what keywords will bring people to your site, use available keyword tools to find out what people are searching for.
3. Figure out your pricing point:
Crunch the numbers and figure out how much youre willing to pay per click, some keywords will allow you to get clicks for almost a pittance.
4. Cross your fingers:
Your bids will be placed up against other bidders for the same keyword. Youll all compete and the results will be that your keywords will be in order with the others, depending on how much they wanted to pay per click.
Its really that simple! However, you really need to make sure you dont go overboard with how high you rank so that you start cutting into how much youre making. Theres really no point in being the top ranking hit if youre not making any money. The best way to make the decision is to figure out the average number of visitors that you get sales from and the total profit per sale.
Knowing your visitor to sale ratio is one of the most important things youll ever need for internet marketing.
However, you need to make sure you keep that ratio as high as possible, the best way to do this is to bid on relevant keywords. Relevance is key! If youre getting people coming to your site (and youre paying for them) who arent interested in what youre selling then that is just money down the drain.
Using Pay Per Click Marketing is substantially faster than submitting to article directories or search engines. You also need to make sure to factor in how much youre willing to offer when bidding for keywords, and the titles and descriptions that youre using in the ads.
As above, titles and descriptions really are the most important factor when it comes to really taking advantage of Pay Per Click Marketing. Your visitor needs to know that your site is the site that theyre looking for.
Make sure your title contains the keywords and make sure that your ads are catchy as well as informative so that you rake in the visitors. Remember, if you have your visitors to sale ratio balanced, then the more clicks you get, the more profit you make!
Pay Per Click marketing is the fastest way on the internet to drive serious traffic to your site.
